About the Business

Spice Market Fremantle, Spice Market Karrinyup | In the words of Daniel Gilbert: The secret of happiness is variety, but the secret of variety, like the secret of all spices, is knowing when to use it. At Spice Market, we couldn’t agree more. We’re all about using authentic Thai spices in a playful and inventive way to bring joy to our diners – and our love affair with flavour shines through in every dish we serve, and every drink we pour. When designing our restaurant, we’ve taken inspiration the spice market of Asia, which are always buzzing with lively conversation, colourful sights and amazing aromas. We want our Spice Market to feel the same: a vibrant meeting place where everyone’s welcome, and there’s always something delicious to try. That’s why the freshwater fish, Pla Ta Pean, features in our logo – it’s a symbol of abundance, and a reminder of the fresh local produce that plays a starring role in our cuisine! From our fragrant crispy salads and mouth-watering seafood, to our chic tropical cocktails, we’ve got just the thing you didn’t know you were craving. Settle in, kick back, order up and enjoy the good vibes. At Spice Market, happiness is always on the menu.

Went twice in the past 2 months and can say both experiences were similarly okay, staff are really friendly but they are very busy with that many tables so not as attentive, but with the ease of ordering from our phones there was really no need. Great for people who find it difficult to ask for what they want/changed. App is good and up to datePrice is on the higher end for Thai food that had a lot of street food options, they had a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which were expensive but worth the priceWe ordered a variety of food and honestly it was tasty but when you compare it to other Thai restaurants it is not up there.Over pretty happy, wouldn't be my first choice but the papaya salad is one of the better ones I've had in a long time!

Nice food and good experience, will come back. Just a little bit too quick to serve the dish so table is too full

Went there for lunch on Sunday. It was busy, but still had some tables available. We were seated pretty quickly and the service was alright. We ordered crispy papaya prawn salad, tom yum, tofu fried rice and chili basil roast duck. It was a great combination and three of us got enough food, not too full, not hungry, just nice.

Got hyped into this place because someone said it's got a robot server yes this true but only one of them so, peak lunch or dinner the waitress staff will just deliver. The robot thing is purely a gimmick.I ordered the Massaman beef curry they claim it's 6hrs slow cooked but I highly doubt that the beef was tough to pull apart with a spoon and fork. Man I needed a knife, the curry wasn't that hot tbh more like an introduction to Thai food kinda place but with its own fusion spin on it to appeal to customers who have never been to Thailand and want to experience the dishes.Tbh we have tried many Thai places in Perth and the best one by far is Nakorn Thai in Osborne Park main street. But any ways back to my review. The venue is massive yet the tables are small and there isn't much privacy between tables in the inner section. On Sundays they charge an additional 10% surcharge, basically 20% GST on Sunday what for I got no idea. Overall the place isn't authentic and that's what you want when going to a Thai restaurant. Nakorn Thai is better by a lot like twice as good and at better prices. Also good parking. I give this place 3 outta 5 stars. Won't be back sorry

Our first time here and it will be our last time.Beautiful decoration and atmosphere.Plenty of staff but poor service and attitude.Food has to be one of the worst authentic Thai restaurant in WA.Satay chicken - very very dried - over cooked.Fried chicken was so hard and dried. Be careful if you wear dentures.Barramundi- extremely dried. Frozen fish. Not fresh. You can tell that the kitchen has fried the fish meat while it's still frozen - it hasn't been properly thawed, so the meat was very tough.Green curry- chicken was very dried.Pad Thai - chicken was driedThe only dish that was nice and soft was the beef massaman. This is why I gave them a 1 star review.

Fancy thai restaurant but flavor wise it's a bit average. If you're looking for an authentic thai flavours, you can't find it here. But what you can find here is a fusion of modernized thai cuisines plus a robot will serve you. It's not just the robot that you should check out here, the staff were friendly too. The food, although they're nice tasting, was a bit pricey for it's serving size. We had massaman curry beef and some sort of crispy pork belly basil stir fry. The beef wasn't as tender as we expect it would and the other dish needs to have more crunchy pork belly rinds and not the chewy meat part. Thai iced tea was bit bland for me probably because of the ice melting. Nonetheless we didn't have to wait long for our orders to come (we ordered through their qr code). Another thing..we didn't get a proper plate. They gave us a small rectangle plate with the spoon and fork, idk if we're supposed to ask for a proper one but we ate on it anyways. They have a good variety of foods in their menu.

Finally found a Thai place that I would happily come back again. Great vibe and environment, comfortable and sleek. The Egg Nest Pad thai was great, chestnut from the Red Ruby could be crunchier in texture, nonetheless the taste was great. Both main and dessert was thoroughly enjoyed with the presentation and taste.

Been here like 4 times already and the food never disappoints. All the fish/seafood dishes are amazing and so are the tofu/vegetarian options. If you want to entertain guest or family visiting, this is the place. Only unable to RSVP but if you stand in line, it moves quickly so that's fine too. Will be coming back soon

Extensive selection with reasonable prices. Nice presentation and quality. Cocktails are delicious and can't go past a mango sticky rice.
